Orbacco is our Super Tuscan obtained from the highest selection of Cabernet sauvignon and Merlot varieties present in our vineyards in San Casciano Val di Pesa. The blend is completed by a balance of Sangiovese which guarantees the Chianti soul of this wine. A wine with a contemporary taste that owes its name to Bacchus, the Roman deity protector of wine and the harvest, and to the orbacus (or laurel), a very common plant in the village of Vèscine and historically used for the creation of crowns and garlands that they embellished the ceremonies and festivals celebrated in the village.

Grapes: Sangiovese 50%, Cabernet Sauvignon 25%, Merlot 25%.

Refinement and maturation: Refine for 10 months in second and second barrels

third passage and further 12 months in steel, completes the refinement in the bottle.

Organoleptic Analysis: purple red with violet reflections. Wide and deep, with hints of berries, violets and elegant notes of sweet spices. A structured but rounded wine, with velvety tannins and a long and enveloping finish. Definitely a wine with long evolutionary potential.
